TrueColors Conference

Fogra was represented by a speaker at the TrueColors Conference in Munich, hosted by GMG. Dr Andreas Kraushaar, Head of Prepress Technology, gave a talk titled "Global Quality Management in Packaging: Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow", in which he addressed quality assessment in packaging printing.

Drupa 2024

Fogra presented its sustainability approaches in three talks at the Touchpoint Sustainability at drupa in Düsseldorf. The topics ranged from energy consumption in offset and digital printing, CO₂ reduction through the switch to UV LED in heatset printing, to mineral oil-free newspaper inks.

Arne Müller, Head of Security Applications, travelled to Lyon, France, where he gave a presentation on the security feature of transparent windows in polymer banknotes.

At the specialist conference of the deinking industry in Munich, Dr Philipp Stolper, Head of Materials & Environment, presented findings on the swelling and deinking properties of the new generation of mineral oil-free coldset printing inks.

At the open house event in Southampton, England, Dr Andreas Kraushaar, Head of Prepress Technology, gave a talk on the FOGRA39 printing standard and was available digitally for the Q&A session.

Dr Philipp Stolper, Head of Materials & Environment, represented Fogra in Reims, France, where he presented the deinking results of a round robin test conducted by Fogra and introduced the INGEDE 11 deinking method.
