The Wipe & Carbonating Test Device WIKAT simulates the pressures that prints are exposed to during converting or bookbinding. It enables the manufacturer to check, in advance, whether printing ink is transferred to adjacent sheets during the converting step by rub-off and/or carbonating. Costly complaints can thus be avoided at an early stage.
